I am a thumb area girl, born and raised on a family farm near Deckerville. I have three grown children and seven amazing grandchildren. I returned to college when my daughters were doing the same so this is my third (and final) career! I began teaching here at KCS in 2010. I taught English 7, 8, and 9 for a few years then earned my Masters and Special Education certification, and that is where I am currently teaching. Since 2014 I have been the Elementary Special Education Teacher, and I absolutely love working with these students. My greatest desire is to see students achieve what they are able to and gain confidence in their own abilities as they learn and grow. I encourage students to reach as high as they can reach and soar to the mountain tops! I look forward to a great year here at KES!
